Founded in late 1978 by Peter Thorp and Gary Nelson, Churchill Mortgage Corporation began operations in January of 1979 with the acquisition of the commercial mortgage portfolio of James W. Rouse and Company, Inc. in Southern California.
Churchill originates or services loans in 14 states, giving us access to widespread real-time market knowledge encompassing many of the nation’s largest MSAs. As members of Real Estate Finance Associates (“REFA”), a nationwide peer group of commercial mortgage banking firms, Churchill offers local market expertise on a national scale.
